What class? The featured rikishi all belong to the class of January 2007,
making their debut on the dohyo in the Hatsu Basho of that year.
What class! Much has been made of the prospects of these young men.
While Minami and Ri are currently fighting in makushita division,
Aran, who suffered only his first make-koshi in the Hatsu Basho, and
Yamamotoyama, who will certainly make an impression wherever he
goes, are already in makuuchi division. We will have to wait and see
how they perform at this level.
