Baruto made a successful ozeki run at the recent Haru Basho. His intensity, his focus and his sheer strength
were a delight to behold and made his ascent to the second highest rank in sumo take on an air of
inevitability as the tournament progressed. His only loss came on day 11 when he faced the
seemingly untouchable Yokozuna Hakuho.
