Rikishi from the powerhouse Kokonoe Beya performed outstandingly at the recent Kyushu Basho,
registering wins in 68% of their bouts, the best of any stable in the tournament. Leading the way
with an excellent combined score of 52-21-2 were the stable's five sekitori featured in this movie.
Particularly noteworthy performances came from:
- Chiyotairyu, whose 11-4 in the upper half of the maegashira ranks put him in fourth place
overall in the top division, behind only the three highest ranked rikishi; and
- the brothers Chiyootori and Chiyomaru who took the yusho and second place in juryo
division respectively.
Soundtrack: "ABC" written by Freddie Perren, Alphonzo Mizell and Deke Richards, number one in 1970 for the Jackson 5.
