After missing January's Hatsu Basho with appendicitis and falling to juryo division as a result, Homasho
won the juryo yusho at the Haru Basho with a score of 14-1 and will be back in makuuchi division in May.
Tochinoshin has been out with injury since part way through the Nagoya Basho last July and has fallen
to the lower reaches of makushita division. Competing at Makushita 55 at the Haru Basho, he
unsurprisingly won the yusho with a score of 7-0.
