Ikioi and Sadanoumi gave excellent performances at the recent Natsu Basho, collecting
fighting spirit prizes for their efforts. Ikioi scored 11-4 at a rank of W-M5 and will be in
touching distance of a sanyaku rank in the upcoming Nagoya Basho.
Sadanoumi was fighting in makuuchi for the first time and succeeded in his wish to match
his father, who won a tournament prize in his first makuuchi basho.
