Egyptian sekitori Osunaarashi was competing at his highest rank of Maegashira #3 at the recent
Nagoya Basho, where he showed pleasing signs of blossoming in his sumo career.
Facing all the top rankers for the first time, he achieved the impressive feat of beating both Yokozuna
Kakuryu and Yokozuna Harumafuji at his first attempt. He went on to produce a sparkling
effort against Yokozuna Hakuho although he ultimately lost the bout.
