Maegashira Shodai has made an impressive start to his sumo career with 12 consecutive winning
records, three lower-division championships and a fighting spirit prize to his name.
For some reason the Japanese press have shown no interest in him, in contrast with the
vast amount of hype created around his compatriots Endo and Mitakeumi.
There is course a great advantage to Shodai in being able to fly under the radar,
which is that he can concentrate on his sumo.
