Yokozuna Hakuho now holds virtually all of the sumo records for excellence.
The one major record which has so far eluded him is the 69-bout winning streak set by the great Futabayama
between 1936 and 1939. Hakuho has compiled many substantial winning streaks, the longest being the
63-bout run in 2010 and the most recent being the 33-bout run between March and July this year.
The rikishi to break this latest run was Takarafuji, who was also the last person to beat him before the run began.
