It has seemed an inordinately long time since Goeido was first tipped to be "going places". There is
no doubt that he is talented, but he has struggled to meet his fans' expectations.
Following his 10-5 performance as sekiwake in the recent Haru Basho in his hometown of Osaka,
perhaps he will at last be able to make that ozeki run that we were promised.
